One would think that the longer a computer application is in the public’s hand, the better it gets with frequent updates.
Instead, the latest survey by RESCUECOM, the industry leader in computer repair, shows that user issues with Windows 10 continue to increase rather than declining. Many probably long for the stable Windows 7 program that was the dependable workhorse.
While there seems to be little relief for consumers who have upgraded to Windows 10 too quickly, it is an issue that should calm down as users become more familiar with the Windows 10. Read more »

There is no question that Windows 10 is an advanced operating system compared to its previous versions. In creating it, Microsoft made it faster, more user-friendly, and more thoroughly integrated with the devices running it, as well as providing greater ease of access to programs and apps. On top of all this, it also includes Cortana, a digital assistant Microsoft first introduced on the Windows Phone 8.1 but providing a far superior search function in Windows 10. Windows 10 is not perfect, however, and users have had some struggles adjusting from older operating systems. As discussed in RESCUECOM’s 2015 Q3 Computer Repair Report, the upgrade to Windows 10 may not be worth it for many people. There are many positive aspects, but also many problems that developed because Microsoft pushed it onto every non-enterprise computer running Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, resulting in 56% of all computer repair calls to RESCUECOM. RESCUECOM has tallied up all the computer repair calls it received, including tablets, for the 2015 Q1 Computer Repair Report, showing a surprising leap in certain problem areas.
The Computer Repair Report is created by tallying the data from all calls RESCUECOM receives at its 1-800-RESCUE-PC call center to form a list of the most common computer and tablet problems. RESCUECOM ranks the top ten computer repair problems in order from most frequent to least and explains them by category, creating a useful tool to inform users about the threats their tech devices face.
