Rescuecom Reveals How to Choose a Quality Computer Repair Service

SYRACUSE, N.Y., August 26, 2010 - Any time you seek out computer repairor computer support services, you are putting a great deal of trust in someone. To help you choose only a quality and reputable computer repair service, Rescuecom offers these tips.

  • Review Pricing - While most computer repair specialists provide estimates, nothing can ever be confirmed until the technician does the hands-on work of diagnosing the problem. Because of that, you should always review a company's pricing before any work begins. Does the company charge a flat rate? Or do their computer repair specialists work on an hourly basis? Do any computer support services - such as data recovery - cost extra and, if so, how much? Knowing a computer repair company's pricing policies up front, can help you made a wise decision for your computer and your budget.
  • Warranties and Guarantees - Computer repair work is only worthwhile if it holds up. To ensure you're getting the best computer repair and computer support services possible, determine what warranties and guarantees the company offers. Note how long the guarantee is good for, and what it covers. A quality computer repair company stands by its work and offers guaranteed computer support.
  • Seek Certified Help - Many people have some knowledge of how to do basic computer repair. But when you're suffering a technology crisis, you need a computer repair expert, who can provide you with the level of computer support you need and deserve. At Rescuecom, we certify every technician that works for us, guaranteeing that they are experts in their field. A Rescuecom certification means that our computer support specialists can deal with the widest range of computer repair issues possible. Working with a certified technician ensures high quality computer repair and computer support services.
  • Privacy Policy and Verification - A quality computer repair service will have an upfront privacy policy, backed up by reputable verification. Businesses that deal with private information, as computer support services often do, should be verified. Companies, such as TRUSTe, provide verification that a computer repair service's privacy policy is secure. When you work with a company that has a verified privacy policy, you can feel confident that your computer support needs are in safe hands.
  • Make the Comfortable Choice - Computer repair and computer support services require a significant amount of trust. You need to feel comfortable with the company and with your decision. Before making any commitment, speak with a company representative. Ask the questions you need answers to. They should have no problem answering those questions and explaining their policies and procedures. Only commit when you feel comfortable.

Having computer repair or computer support work done can be nerve wracking. Following a few simple tips can make choosing the right computer repair service a much easier and more comfortable experience.

...A hacker with the alias "DEATHRIDGE" entered a company Teams meeting via someone invited as a guest, and started taking control of my computer and my life. They sent emails pretending to be me that really looked like they were coming from me. They tried to take control of our corporate bank accounts, added themselves as a user to my Microsoft account, and locked me out of my computer as my passwords no longer worked. My ability to run a telecom company ground to a halt, and all my company and personal information was at their fingertips. I felt so helpless, and I needed folks smarter than the hacker(s) to do battle for me. Our typical computer pros couldn't handle it, and neither could other "experts" I called. Lucky for me I called RESCUECOM, and they immediately got to work. They didn't complain though I was asking for help in the middle of the night, but immediately got to work and worked non-stop to restore everything and protect me going forward. The team at RESCUECOM are my knights in shining armor, and they're the absolute best! less
