CHARLOTTE, NC Tim Schilling once spent his days as a minor league ballplayer in the Florida Marlins farm system. His past teammates have included Florida Marlins pitching stars Josh Beckett and Dontrelle Willis. While his playing time is now over, Schilling has found a way to keep himself in the game and to influence the next generation of ballplayers.

Having recently completed his degree from High Point University, Schilling is now the operator of a RESCUECOM computer services franchise. Operating in and around the Charlotte region, RESCUECOM performs on-site computer services for both the home and business. While his days are now filled with hard drives rather than line drives, Schilling continues to support the game he loves.

"Involving myself with the local Little League gives me the chance to help out younger players at the developmental stage," said Schilling. "Today, there is just not enough supervision on the way young pitchers are taught. With just a few pointers, kids can avoid the problems that poor pitching mechanics can cause."

While sponsoring his own "RESCUECOM" team, Schilling plans on visiting a practice of every team in the Park Sharon Athletic Association league before the season officially starts to ensure that all children benefit from his years of pitching knowledge. His tutorials will include throwing properly, appropriate stretching, and maintaining a healthy arm.
