Innovating Well Ahead Of The Market, Michael Schuette Is Incredible!

One of the things that very few people consider when they talk about the economic downturn in the world today is how it affects emerging technologies.  When consumers do not have the financial resources to continue spending on luxuries, developing technologies stall.  Unfortunately, technological development does not occur in an economic vacuum; the reality of financing demands that great ideas be developed into potentially profitable products.  Few people know how an amazing idea may be crushed by the demands of sweeping economic movements the way Michael Schuette does.

Dr. Michael Schuette is the Vice President of Technology Development for OCZ Technologies, the makers of RAM, solid-state drives, and other computer components.  Schuette spearheaded the development of the OCZ NIA.  The OCZ NIA was a neural impulse actuator, in simpler language, a computer controller that responded to brainwaves.  In his capacity as Vice President of Technology Development, Dr. Schuette not only developed the theory behind mind-controlled computer peripherals, but he saw was instrumental in the realization of theory by helping construct the first prototype.  From prototype to market, Michael Schuette had a lot invested in the OCZ NIA, which hit the market in 2008.  When the economy in the United States and Japan took a steep decline in late 2008 and early 2009, the NIA failed to capture the market.  Paying $100 for a video game controller or mouse was simply not practical for most people, no matter how cool it was.

Michael Schuette is not one to be frustrated by the consumer end of his creations; he continues to innovate new technologies for OCZ Technologies.  Schuette is an ideal Vice President of Technology Development for OCZ in many ways.  Educated in Munich at the Ludwig Maximillian University, Michael Schuette earned his Ph.D. in Physics and Neurobiology.  A doctorate in those two fields makes Schuette a perfect candidate for developing technologies for a company built on creating memory devices.

From Munich, Dr. Schuette started LostCircuits, a technical website, and he co-founded Data-Secure.  Schuette wrote and contributed to several books while he worked for Enhanced Memory Systems.  It was his work for Enhanced Memory Systems that brought Dr. Michael Schuette to the forefront of the memory field and the attention of OCZ Technologies.

Following the economic downturn that made a commercial failure of Dr. Schuette’s technological masterpiece, Michael Schuette quickly reprioritized the development department of OCZ Technologies.  Refocused on solid-state drives, Dr. Schuette helped OCZ gain a strong foothold in the emerging SSD marketplace.  With his profound ability to imagine products that have incredible applications and his knowledge that makes such extraordinary ideas into real products, OCZ can do no better than Dr. Michael Schuette as a Vice President of Technology Development!
