The Genius Ring Presenter Makes Your Presentations Seem Like Magic!

There have been some truly intriguing combinations of computer devices.  The Sony VAIO Mouse Talk, for example, very cleverly combined a computer mouse with a cell phone.  It takes a lot of imagination to combine a standard computer peripheral with something else to make a new device that is more useful than it is clever.  Inventors risk making something that is more of a gimmick than a worthwhile gadget.  Genius, a Taiwan-based company specializing in devices for the information technology field, managed to create an unlikely combination device that is surprisingly practical with its Ring Presenter.

The Ring Presenter combines a computer mouse with a laser pointer.  This unlikely combination proves to be remarkably useful due to the way that it was designed by Genius.  With a clever ring design, Genius gives you hands-free control of your presentations.  Equally important, the Ring Presenter allows you to control your presentations without having to be at your computer.

Genius accomplishes the dual purposes of the mouse and laser pointer in the Ring Presenter with a classic, old school, method.  The Ring Presenter employs a good, old fashioned switch!  The Ring Presenter is remarkably easy to use.  After slipping it on your finger (making sure that the laser diode for the pointer is facing away from you), turn the ring on.  Then, you may use it as a laser pointer or a wireless mouse.

With a USB receiver plugged into your computer and the Ring Presenter in mouse mode, the Ring Presenter becomes a powerful assistant in giving computer-based demonstrations before a group.  If your computer is hooked up to a digital projector, you may use the Ring Presenter to manipulate the cursor as you would a mouse!  That means, you can stand beside the screen your presentation is on and pause your PowerPoint presentation or change programs if someone asks a question.  With its simple touchpad top, the Ring Presenter allows you unprecedented flexibility without surrendering a position of authority in a lecture hall or board meeting.

To highlight, the Ring Presenter has the alternate function of being a very simple laser pointer.  By flicking a switch, the touchpad atop the ring disengages and a red laser shoots from the front of the Ring Presenter.  That laser creates a bright, distinct red dot that you may use to highlight elements on the projection screen.  You may also use the laser pointer to highlight objects in the same room.

The Ring Presenter from Genius effectively combines a high-tech laser mouse with a comparatively low-tech laser pointer to make a device that can be a real asset in academic or business settings!
