Guiding Shutterfly To Success, Jeffrey Housenhold Is An Impressive CEO!

Digital photography has dramatically changed the photography market.  What was once a casual hobby or a top-dollar profession for skilled experts has become a daily routine for many people across all different walks of life and social strati.  With the prevalence of cameras on smartphones and social networks, people all over the world take millions of photographs per day and frequently post or store them on the Internet.  With the rise of so many digital photography options, there have come many new services related to digital photography on the Internet.  One of the most engaging digital photography sites on the Internet is Shutterfly, and it is run by Jeffrey Housenbold.

Jeffrey Housenbold is the CEO and President of Shutterfly.  He came to work for Shutterfly in January 2005.  Under Housenbold, Shutterfly has grown and developed well beyond the company that Eva Manolis and Dan Baum co-founded in 1999.  For the past seven and a half years, Jeffrey Housenbold has guided the photo and printing service site through a period of impressive growth.  As the digital photography market has changed, Housenbold has worked hard to ensure that Shutterfly has changed with it.

That Jeffrey Housenbold would be such an impressive leader of Shutterfly is unsurprising given his experience and training.  As a Presidential Scholar at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in the late-1980’s, Jeffrey Housenbold worked hard and earned degrees in Economics and Business Administration.  An ambitious young man, Housenbold graduated with high honors before joining Peterson Worldwide as a Senior Consultant.

Jeffrey Housenbold’s tenure with Peterson Worldwide lasted a little over three years before he returned to academia.  Accepted to the Harvard Business School in 1994, Jeffrey Housenbold applied himself and earned his MBA and became a Dean’s Fellow!  Armed with his enhanced credentials after graduation, Housenbold took a Manager position at Accenture Strategic Services in July 1996.  He rapidly proved himself as a manager and a businessman with an uncommon sense of vision.  He became highly sought after and was hired away from Accenture Strategic Services by WinStar Communications.  After stints with Raging Bull and AltaVista, eBay hired Jeffrey Housenbold as their Vice President of Business Development & Internet Marketing.  He was still working for eBay when Shutterfly approached him to take over as CEO.

Since joining Shutterfly, Jeffrey Housenbold’s accomplishments have only grown.  In addition to effectively running Shutterfly, Housenbold sits on four Boards of Directors, including the Boards of Digital Chocolate and the Children’s Discovery Museum Of San Jose.  With his leadership and vision, Shutterfly and the companies Jeffrey Housenbold helps to direct are in good hands.
