Slyce CEO Cameron Chell Has Made it Possible to Purchase Items with a Photograph

Online shopping is already far more convenient than having to shop at brick and mortar stores, but now a cool person in technology wants to make the process even easier.  Cameron Chell founded his company Slyce to make online shopping instantly gratifying for users.  Chell wants people to make online purchases by simply taking a picture with their mobile device.  Chell’s product uses image recognition to determine the item someone is taking a picture of and immediately find it for sale online.  Of course, users with broken smartphone cameras will need smartphone PC repair before taking advantage of Chell’s technology.

While Slyce provides users with a cool and quick way to buy items on the web, Chell’s mobile technology does not work automatically for all products.  Chell has integrated his startup’s service with specific brands in two main retail categories so far—fashion and home décor.  Chell’s strategy is sound, as these two categories are likely the ones where the Slyce system would be most beneficial.  Items of clothing or home decorations don’t always have clear product names as entertainment devices or consumer electronics do.  When someone sees a piece of clothing or a home décor item in a store, it is often very difficult to locate it online at a later date.  Chell’s product is perfect for these situations because users can just take a picture of the item and check the online prices immediately.  Even if a user only has a camera and not a smartphone, Slyce has a web client that will accept scanned or digital images as well.  Users who have trouble scanning or uploading images into their computer for use with Slyce should seek the aid of a home computer support company.

Chell is a serial entrepreneur with a wealth of experience and success in the world of technology startups.  He founded his first startup, FutureLink, over a decade ago and has since built five other successful business, including Slyce.  While acting as CEO of Slyce, Chell also runs another technology company called UrtheCast, which is building and operating HD streaming video cameras that view Earth from space.  He also manages Business Instincts Group, a business accelerator and venture firm.  With so many responsibilities, Chell likely has a strenuous schedule, and yet this cool person in technology continues to succeed in his pursuits.  Slyce’s future may be very bright with Chell at the helm.
