Social Tables Brings Software to the Event-Planning Table

Plan a stress-free social or business event with Social Tables. It offers event planning software with less work and more successful events. Begun as a seating plan system, Social Tables now makes it easy to plan business meetings or events, social events and fundraisers from beginning to end.

Established in 2011, in Washington, District of Columbia, by Dan Berger, CEO, Social Tables software consists of three parts – Attendee Information Management System, Venue Mapper and Smart Seating. Lay out the floor plan of where your meeting or event will take place and make sure the configuration will work. Set up a seating chart. Templates are available for some basic setups, or create your own.

Trevor Lynn, marketing manager, told RESCUECOM, “Social Tables is the first online collaborative diagramming tool. Our technology is fully customizable from start to finish. Our goal is to change the way events are planned and attended by providing event professionals with practical technology backed by unparalleled customer care.”

He noted that more than 7,000 events have used Social Tables, welcoming more than 160,000 guests. Some recent events include the Latin Grammys, the Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball and the Sugar & Champagne (fundraising) Affair.

Move your Excel spreadsheet list of potential attendees to the Attendee Information Management System. Note who accepts invitations, assign people to seating or meals, check people in upon arrival and use the data for later reports and event summaries. Adding social network information on attendees makes more congenial seating assignments.

“Our engineering team has strict rules around adding features to the product so ALL of our features are based on customer feedback,” Lynn explained. “Most recently, we have added a custom drawing feature, theater seating, custom color for all objects, a measuring tool and a piano object!”

Social Tables says its software makes it easy for the event planning team to work together, sharing and updating information using laptops, tablets or mobile devices.

Bring your iPad to event-planning meetings to show colleagues the latest updates. If you experience a technical problem, contact a computer professional for iPad support.

No matter what your role is in the event, you can see the information you need within Social Tables. Stored in the cloud, the information updates for everyone whenever there is a change.

Venues can use Social Tables to sell and manage events. List available facilities, such as conference and banquet rooms, in the Venue Finder for free.

Different pricing structures exist for events, teams or venues, with discounts available for nonprofits and government organizations.

To take advantage of Social Tables software, make sure your computer is running efficiently. If necessary, computer repair from experts is only a phone call away.

Keep your eye on Social Tables. Lynn added, “We have great features planned for a BIG summer release that will position us to work with partners across a wide spectrum of services.”
