Enhance Your Dive With The Suunto Cobra3!

Recent advances in technology make spending time underwater safer and more enjoyable.  From digital cameras designed to photograph underwater to more impressive technologies that locate undersea life, those who want to get the most out of the sea are at a great place to do that right now.  In addition to products designed to increase the amount of fun you have while swimming, snorkeling, or diving, companies like Suunto have rolled out wonderful product lines that enhance your subaquatic safety.  One of the most intriguing devices from Suunto is the Cobra3.

The Cobra3, product number SS018537000 in the Suunto catalogue, is a dive computer with air-integration and an electronic 3D compass.  Like many dive computers, the Suunto Cobra3 features a clear LCD display that may be easily read while underwater, even in low light.  The high contrast level of the display makes the Suunto Cobra3 very easy to use.  For those unfamiliar with the concept, diving computers are watch-like digital devices that keep you informed of environmental conditions while you are diving.  The Suunto Cobra3 provides you with constant depth readings, cardinal directions, and a relative position to a fixed point of your choosing with the touch of any one of the four buttons on the device.  Like many diving tools, the Suunto Cobra3 is designed to be easy-to-use while you are wearing diving gloves, so the buttons are large and simple to manipulate.

The Suunto Cobra3 also monitors the oxygen level in your air tank during a dive.  As impressive, the Suunto Cobra3 calculates your blood gas levels based upon depth, duration of swim, speed, etc. in order to give you the information you need to plan your return trip to the surface.  By having a device that so precisely measures your oxygen supply and your body’s chemistry promotes a safer and more enjoyable diving experience.  Used properly, the Suunto Cobra3 may help you from getting the bends by allowing you to more efficiently use your time underwater.

Backlit with an electro-luminescent display for deeper diving or diving in the early morning/night, the Suunto Cobra3 operates ideally in water temperatures from freezing up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.  Weighing less than half a pound, the Suunto Cobra3 is very light, which comes in handy as you become more fatigued from swimming underwater for extended periods of time.  The Suunto Cobra3 operates at depths down to 492 feet below the surface and you may set it to sample and update at intervals from each second to once per minute.  As a result, the Suunto Cobra3 provides updates that range from virtually instantaneous to each minute, which allows you to enjoy your underwater surroundings as opposed to obsessing on your equipment.

For serious divers looking for wonderful accessories, the Suunto Cobra3 may only enhance your diving experience.
