Matt Munson Has Made Twenty20 an Online Marketplace for Photographers and Artists

Selling artwork or photography is not an easy profession.  Finding interested buyers, promoting one’s work and finding a viable model for distribution are all obstacles for visual artists trying to make a living off their work.  The Internet provides an opportunity for photographers to reach a wider audience and sell more pieces, but setting up the infrastructure needed to do those things is not always part of an artist’s skillset.  Cool person in technology Matt Munson has created Twenty20 in order to solve this problem.  Twenty20 is an online marketplace where graphic artists and photographers can sell their work with little to no technical expertise.  Twenty20 lets users create galleries where they offer the public either digital copies or physical prints of their work.  Munson’s company handles the printing and shipping of each physical item and splits the profit of each sale with the artists on the site.

Munson has made sure that joining Twenty20 and creating galleries of for-sale photography and graphic art is as easy as possible.  There is no complicated registration process on Twenty20.  Users actually connect to the site through their Instagram accounts, something that they are already likely to have as a visual artist on the web.  Anyone who has difficulty connecting their Instagram account to Munson’s site so they can set up their online galleries should contact an online computer support specialist for help.

In order to help artists gain more exposure for their online galleries, Munson has also set up a series of open challenges on his website.  Members of the Twenty20 community can compete by uploading submissions to each of these challenges, which ask for specific types of photographs and artwork.  Munson features the winners on the site, which makes those users more visible to anyone shopping for cool art or pictures on Twenty20. Any artists who have trouble submitting their work to these challenges on the site may want to speak to a tech support provider about the problem.

Munson worked in marketing and consulting before founding Twenty20 in 2010.  This cool person also developed leadership experience before creating Twenty20, as he held the position of VP of business development at BetterPPC for several years.  He also founded one previous tech company, BoomStreet, which Tippr acquired in 2011.  Munson’s success as a leader and entrepreneur are translating into growth for Twenty20, which continues to make an impact on the larger online photography community.
