People have been creating personalized playlists since before music was digital. However, rather than using text posts, photos and links to express themselves, users instead formulate special playlists to share with their friends. Each playlist on Fong’s website is more than just a static list of songs. Users can add custom titles, captions and even digital album art to each playlist they create and publish on weeSPIN. Obviously, users can click on and play back any public playlists posted to Fong’s site. People populate their playlists with songs from cloud and streaming music services SoundCloud and Spotify. Users can also continually build and edit playlists so they become dynamic and change over time.
Fong’s service will primarily focus on its iPhone app, meaning that users will need to seek Apple support if they need help with the product.
