Ashvin Dhingra, MyColorScreen CEO, Has a Passion for Android Customization

One of the most touted features of Google’s mobile operating system Android is the level of customization that it offers to users.  With the help of many different settings available as well as specialized Android applications, Android users can redesign their phone or tablet’s entire interface.  Cool person in technology Ashvin Dhingra knew that many Android users like himself were passionate about their own customized Android designs.  Dhingra acted on this passion by creating MyColorScreen.com, an online community that lets hobbyist Android customizers share their own design with others.  Users post images of their different Android interface designs and tutorials on how others can create and install them on their own phones.  Dhingra’s website features the most viewed and talked about designs on its main page and runs a blog with tips, guides, and opinions as well.  Dhingra even placed a special section on the site for those who have hacked their iOS devices to customize their home screen as well.  The website claims that its community has uploaded over 49,000 designs so far.  If you want to learn more about Android customization, find an Android tech support provider to help you.

Dhingra wasn’t satisfied with MyColorScreen’s success.  While there is a vibrant community surrounding Android customization, most users lack the technical knowledge and skill to customize their phone’s interface freely.  That’s why Dhingra and his team created Themer, an app that let users edit and redesign their own start screen with just a few clicks.  MyColorScreen created Themer as a way for more users to engage in the customization community, and perhaps even post their designs on the MyColorScreen website to get feedback on their work.  Get smartphone tech support if you want to try Themer, but struggle with the Google Play Store when downloading apps.

Dhingra graduated from Claremont-McKenna College in 2004 before holding investment-banking positions at companies such as Merrill Lynch and Citadel Investment Group.  While his professional background is in the financial sector, Dhingra did spend a brief period founding and running a website about LA Night Clubs while still in college.  Still, that previous tech experience pales in comparisons to the major undertaking that is MyColorScreen.
