Rey Faustino Founded OneDegree to Connect People with Community Resources

Thousands of families depend on nonprofit services to get by every day in the United States.  Some of these services are government-provided while independent charities run others.  However, cutting through red tape and getting access to these services is not always simple, and many families miss potential help that could make a huge difference in their lives.  There are online directories that can lead people to certain websites and organizations that might help them, but this is only part of the process.  Many families have no idea what to do to get the help they need once they contact an organization, and not every nonprofit has the resources to guide people through different processes.  That’s where cool person in technology Ray Faustino comes in in order to help people with his tech startup OneDegree.  OneDegree doesn’t just provide families with a list of phone numbers and websites, but guides them step by step to getting the aid they need if they are experiencing tough times.  Those who want to use OneDegree but need help navigating the website can get assistance from a reputable online computer support service.

OneDegree also allows people to rate and review nonprofit organizations that they go to for help.  Some might consider it taboo to judge organizations that are trying to help people, but families looking for aid need to know what nonprofits are most effective in giving it.  Users can leave reviews to help guide others towards the organizations and services that would be best for their situation.  If people experience any trouble leaving ratings and reviews, they can always contact computer tech support.

Users of Faustino’s site can also create a personalized list of opportunities and services to reference whenever they need it.  Families can use Faustino’s product to keep information related to services such as free after school programs, free medical clinics, financial aid programs for working college students and numerous other services meant to empower underprivileged people within a community.

Faustino is a graduate of both the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the University of Southern California.  Faustino founded OneDegree after attaining his graduate degree from Harvard out of a desire to get help to families that were struggling.  During the time between his undergraduate work and his time at graduate school, Faustino worked for BUILD, a nonprofit that helps underprivileged youth attend college. Working with BUILD likely exposed this cool person to many families experiencing hardship, motivating him to start his own organization in an attempt to help.
