Rosen Sharma Has Developed a Way for You to Run Android Apps on Your Computer

If you have a smartphone, there’s a solid chance you have several mobile apps that you can’t imagine living without.  In fact, with so many programs and applications sticking exclusively to mobile operating systems like Android, you may even wish you had the ability to run your apps on all your machines, even laptops and desktops. Cool person in technology Rosen Sharma is relying on the idea that this is true for many users.  His company Bluestacks has developed a program that allows users to run Android applications on their PC or Mac.  Sharma’s software gives users access to hundreds of thousands of Android apps directly on their computer, allowing people to integrate their favorite apps into their lives even further if they so wish.

Sharma has a storied history of success in the tech industry.  Before breaking off and founding Bluestacks, he worked in several high-level positions at McAfee, such as CTO and VP of technology.  He also previously co-founded two other tech startups.  He started VxTreme in the 90’s before Microsoft acquired the company and founded GreenBorder before selling it to Google in the mid 2000’s.  Sharma’s extensive success in the tech industry demonstrates his ability to lead and develop a company.  One can likely attribute Bluestacks’s current success in large part to Sharma’s experience.

Sharma’s software could potentially be very useful to a wide range of people.  For example, someone who struggles with small touchscreen interfaces and needs to seek smartphone tech support to get even simple tasks done may want to see if running their apps on a larger screen with a familiar keyboard and mouse is a better option for them.  Those who may want to demonstrate mobile applications for a large audience may also find it easier to do through a Mac or PC.  The many potential uses for Bluestacks’s functionality indicate good things for Bluestacks’s potential market.

Sharma is also expanding the use of his software into the entertainment side of the tech industry.  His company is currently working on a product called Gamepop, which would use Bluestacks technology so that people could play mobile games on their big-screen televisions.  However, Gamepop is still under development and Sharma’s company won’t be entering the games and entertainment sector for some time yet.

Currently, Bluestacks software is available to run Android apps on both PC and Mac.  The Mac version of the software is more recent and may have more bugs and glitches.  If you find this is the case, get in touch with Mac support for help.
