Daniel Todd Founded Affinity to Help Stores Gain Customers through Gamification

Gamification is becoming a major trend in the worlds of technology and retail.  Gaining points and rewards for your purchases is now a standard practice for many large chain stores or shopping websites in every retail category.  However, most of the time the goal of earning points simply leads to future discounts on more merchandise from the same store.  While customers might appreciate those discounts, cool person in technology Daniel Todd believes that it would be even better if customers could get rewards from shopping that would not be easily attainable otherwise.  Todd’s company Affinity offers retail companies a system where their customers don’t just receive discounts or merchandise from the same store they are already shopping at, but instead receive exclusive and unique rewards donated by celebrities. Under Todd’s system, people can shop at retail locations affiliated with Affinity and earn points for each purchase at each of those stores.  People can then use those points to get special and unique prizes from their favorite celebrities on the Affinity platform.  Users can access Affinity’s shop through the company’s web platform on their computers or mobile devices.  Any users experiencing difficulty while trying to access Todd’s rewards platform should contact a network services provider for help with their connection.

The unique rewards that Todd offers shoppers through Affinity include things such as autographed merchandise, personalized voicemail messages from certain celebrities, and even backstage passes for concerts. These rewards likely appeal more than just another discount on store merchandise and could potentially drive more customers to shop at Affinity affiliated stores.  Customers also accumulate points from every store affiliated with Affinity that they shop at so their points add up more quickly.  Stores interested in instituting Todd’s system should make sure they have solid business IT support in place to handle everything first.

Todd has worked in leadership positions at numerous technology companies, acting as both president and chief executive in previous jobs.  Todd led Zango, a software company, for nearly eight years.  Eventually, he transitioned to a CEO role at another tech company called GlobalMojo. He then broke off and began Affinity as his own project.  Todd’s extensive experience at managing smaller technology companies makes him very much at home is his current role.  While Affinity has a retail and marketing aspect that Todd’s previous companies did not, Todd’s record of achievement indicates he has a very solid chance to continue succeeding with his new venture.
