Unroll.me Makes Managing Your E-mail Subscriptions and Newsletters Easier

It’s a problem everyone who uses e-mail faces: inbox clutter.  Even with a solid spam blocker installed on your PC as part of an Internet security solution, there are many legitimate e-mails we get every day but don’t always want to read.  Perhaps you’ve signed up for band newsletters, online magazine subscriptions, or promotional offers.  You don’t want to block these e-mails because they occasionally give you useful information, but most of the time they simply clog up your inbox and make it a pain to navigate your e-mail.  Unroll.me is a cool product that aims to solve the problem of inbox clutter.  The team at Unroll.me has developed a service that takes all of your promotional and newsletter e-mail subscriptions and combines them into one e-mail per day called “The Rollout”.  They organize and keep all of your promotional e-mails in one place, making it easy to scan for useful information.  This way, your e-mail subscriptions are not taking up inbox space or wasting your time. This could make e-mail a much more organized experience.

There are also times when you’ve had a subscription for so long that it’s outlived your interest in the subject.  For example, maybe you were once interested in following a band’s tour dates through their newsletter, but you just don’t enjoy their music anymore.  Unroll.me allows you to unsubscribe from any newsletters or subscriptions with one click.  This is especially helpful as many promotional e-mails are difficult to unsubscribe from due to promoters wanting to keep as many people on a mailing list as possible.  Combine this with the fact that all your newsletters and subscriptions are stored in one daily e-mail, and suddenly your inbox seems a lot more manageable.

For right now, Unroll.me is only available for Gmail and Yahoo mail.  Unroll.me uses an authentication service for Gmail accounts to avoid taking user names and passwords for privacy reasons.  However, they do have to take the account information of those who sign up using Yahoo mail.   If you have issues joining Unroll.me as either a Google or a Yahoo user, you should seek online computer support for help getting the service to work.

Unroll.me continues to develop in its attempt to make users’ inboxes as manageable as possible.  It has introduced an auto-add feature, which automates the process of putting new e-mail subscriptions in your Rollout. It also now has an option to choose when during the day you receive your Rollup: morning, afternoon, or evening.  Unroll.me is a cool product that might make e-mail a bit less of a headache if it continues to innovate and grow as a service.
