Surespot Ensures the Privacy of your Messages

photo surespot-ensures-the-privacy-of-your-messages.pngPrivacy online is an issue concerning everyone, but one that some do not understand how to handle.  We share a great deal of information over the Internet, and we access very private data such as bank account on computers and mobile devices.  It is extremely important for everyone to employ effective security measures to ensure their information is not stolen and misused, and while many people believe that there is no issue of safety when texting, sending images, or even listening to voicemail from their phones, this is not always the case.  Now, an app called Surespot ensures that every message sent to or received by your phone is secure.  It is a secure mobile messaging app that uses its own powerful encryption to keep each text, image and voice message completely private.

There are a few programs that offer such a service, but there are some key differences between what they offer and what Surespot provides.  Unlike Voxer and others like it, this services features end-to-end encryption.  This means that the only people who can read messages are the people communicating. No one else can access the “keys” needed to decrypt the conversation, not even Surespot.  The company itself, unlike many, does not gather personal information of any kind even for the purpose of analytics, and use of the app is free and unrestricted.

When you read an email, it travels from the to your location while rerouting through various routers and servers along the way, a process known as “hopping.”  At any one of these points it is possible for someone to read the email.  Surespot is the ultimate Internet security measure, surpassing typical SSL (Secure Socket Layering) encryption.  With SSL, hops cannot access information but the server can, whereas end-to-end encryption encrypts the data so that only the end users can decipher it. No one along the route the message takes from one user to another, not even the Surespot server, can view the contents of the data you send.

There are several additional useful features to Surespot’s service.  Upon downloading it, you create an identity with a username and password, so the app is not associated with your phone number.  You can preserve this identity by backing it up to a separate storage device or online using a service like Google Drive.  You can invite other users, and the app offers a QR code that others can scan to add you as a contact.  The app also features secure voice messaging with the ability to edit before sending it, which you can send as audio immediately to another phone.  Conveniently, it also allows you to store many different identities on many different devices to not only add an extra measure of safety but allow you access if you have a system recovery issue with any device you are using.  When the security of the data you send from your phone is a key priority, Surespot is certain to ease your fears.
